2ND DAY, WEDNESDAY
WARSAW [D]
Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. With an afternoon at leisure, c’mon down and stroll along the wide boulevards and through the green parks. Meet your ORBIS guide at 6:00 PM in the hotel lobby and enjoy dinner in the hotel’s restaurant.
3RD DAY, THURSDAY
WARSAW [B,L]
After breakfast, we introduce you to the highlights of Warsaw. Your sightseeing tour includes a drive along the famous Royal Route from magnificent Castle Square to Lazienki Park. Here, we will enter the park near the Chopin’s monument, surrounded by benches and rose bushes. Then, we pass by the Palace of Science and Culture, the Saxon gardens, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, monument of the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto and the Barbican. Continue with a walking tour of Old Town, Market Square and St. John’s Cathedral. Lunch at a local restaurant. The afternoon is free to explore more of Warsaw on your own.
4TH DAY, FRIDAY
WARSAW - CZESTOCHOWA - AUSCHWITZ - KRAKOW [B,L]
The road to Krakow, Poland’s unique, medieval, open-air museum, leads us past Czestochowa, site of Jasna Gora and the Black Madonna, venerated as Poland’s holiest icon. En route to Krakow, we also stop at Auschwitz, site of the concentration camp, where millions lost their lives in the crematoria.
5TH DAY, SATURDAY
KRAKOW [B,D]
Krakow has more than one thousand buildings and monuments of historic and architectural interest. Your tour includes Market Square, Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Church and Wawel Hill with its Gothic cathedral. The afternoon is at your leisure. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.
6TH DAY, SUNDAY
KRAKOW - WIELICZKA - ZAKOPANE [B,L]
After breakfast drive to Poland’s winter capital, Zakopane; en route visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, famous for their underground chapels and crystal caves. Lunch at a local restaurant in Wieliczka. Overnight in Zakopane.
7TH DAY, MONDAY
ZAKOPANE [B,D]
After breakfast city sightseeing, including an excursion by cable car to Gubalowka mountain. Enjoy a free afternoon to pursue your own interests. Dinner and overnight in Zakopane.
8TH DAY, TUESDAY
ZAKOPANE - WROCLAW [B,D]
Today, we drive to Wroclaw, the charming city on the Odra River, the capital of Lower Silesia.
9TH DAY, WEDNESDAY
WROCLAW – RYDZYNA [B,D]
Among your impressions of this city with its medieval architecture are the 13th century Town Hall and the Gothic cathedral. After lunch, we leave for Rydzyna. Dinner and accommodation in Rydzyna.
10TH DAY, THURSDAY
RYDZYNA - POZNAN – TORUN [B,L]
After breakfast we drive to Poznan, a brief sightseeing tour of historic city. Lunch. Afternoon drive to Torun - the medieval town so closely associated with Copernicus. Then enjoy your free time.
11TH DAY, FRIDAY
TORUN - GDYNIA [B,L]
This morning, after breakfast, we enjoy a city tour of Torun’s marvelous Gothic architecture, including the Old Town Square, Town Hall, the nearby “Pod Gwiazda” house and more. After lunch departure for Gdynia.
12TH DAY, SATURDAY
GDYNIA - GDANSK - SOPOT [B,L]
Gdynia, the youngest member of the Tri-city complex, consisting of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia, is a major seaport with beautiful beaches. Nearby Sopot is an Old World resort with grand hotels, boardwalks, beaches and resort pleasures. Gdansk, the oldest of the three, is a magnificent restoration of a medieval port, with a stunning Town Hall, Neptune’s Fountain, Gothic churches, romantic cobblestone alleys and breezy harbor promenades. You’ll see them all and hear a recital on the worldfamous organ in Oliwa Cathedral on your tour today. After lunch you are free to relax seaside.
13TH DAY, SUNDAY
GDYNIA – MALBORK – OLSZTYN [B,L]
After breakfast: drive to Olsztyn. En-route visit to Teutonic Knights Castle in Malbork, the largest brick building in Europe and one of the greatest tourist attractions in Poland. Malbork Castle was built by the Teutonic Order as an Ogdensburg and named Mary’s Castle. The Castle is a classic example of a medieval fortress, one of the most impressive of its kind in Europe. The construction of Malbork Castle started in 1274. Lunch. Afternoon continuing to Olsztyn, a town located in the lake region of forests and plains. There are 15 lakes in the area of Olsztyn. The most attractive part of the city is the old town, encircled by a set of fortified walls. Recently, many of the demolished monuments in the World War II have been carefully reconstructed. Picnic.
14TH DAY, MONDAY
OLSZTYN – OLSZTYNEK - WARSAW [B,D]
After breakfast: drive to Warszawa, en-route visit to Skansen of Folk Architecture in Olsztynek, the Museum devoted to 18th and 19th century folk architecture from Warmia, Mazuria, and surprisingly Lithuania as well. Of particular interest is the group of old windmills, very rare in this region and the inn with a covered walkway. Afternoon continuing to Warsaw. Dinner.
15TH DAY, TUESDAY
WARSAW - USA [B]
