Your Polish adventure begins today, as you fly to Warsaw, Poland’s dynamic capital.
2ND DAY, WEDNESDAY
WARSAW [D]
Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Meet your tour guide at 6:00 PM in the hotel lobby, before enjoying a welcome dinner. Overnight in Warszawa at Novotel Centrum Hotel ****.
3RD DAY, THURSDAY
WARSAW - TORUN [B,L]
After breakfast, we introduce you to the highlights of Warsaw. Your sightseeing tour includes a drive along the famous Royal Route from magnificent Castle Square to Lazienki Park. Here, we will enter the park near the Chopin’s monument, surrounded by benches and rose bushes. Then, we pass by the Palace of Science and Culture, the Saxon gardens, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, monument of the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto and the Barbican. Continue with a walking tour of Old Town, Market Square and St. John’s Cathedral. After lunch, we head for Torun. Overnight in Torun at Mercure Helios hotel*** or similar.
4TH DAY, FRIDAY
TORUN - GDYNIA [B,L]
After breakfast, we will have a tour of Torun, the birthplace of Copernicus. Your tour includes views of Old Town Square and the 14th century Town Hall. After lunch, we drive to Gdynia. Overnight in Gdynia at Gdynia Hotel***.
5TH DAY, SATURDAY
GDYNIA - GDANSK - SOPOT [B,L]
Gdynia makes up one-third of the tri-city complex, which also comprises the elegant resort of Sopot and Gdansk, birthplace of Solidarity. Your tour includes highlights in all three cities and climaxes with an organ concert at the Oliwa cathedral. The afternoon is free for shopping. Overnight in Gdynia at Gdynia Hotel ***.
6TH DAY, SUNDAY
GDYNIA - MALBORK - OLSZTYN [B,L]
After breakfast: drive to Olsztyn. En-route visit to Teutonic Knights Castle in Malbork, the largest brick building in Europe and one of the greatest tourist attractions in Poland. Malbork Castle was built by the Teutonic Order as an Ordensburg and named Mary’s Castle. The Castle is a classic example of a medieval fortress, one of the most impressive of its kind in Europe. Lunch. Afternoon continuing to Olsztyn, a town located in the lake region of forests and plains. There are 15 lakes in the area of Olsztyn. The most attractive part of the city is the old town, encircled by a set of fortified walls. Recently, many of the demolished monuments in the World War II have been carefully reconstructed. Picnic. Overnight in Olsztyn at Novotel Hotel***.
7TH DAY, MONDAY
OLSZTYN – OLSZTYNEK – WARSAW [B,D]
After breakfast: drive to Warsaw, en-route visit to Skansen of Folk Architecture in Olsztynek, the Museum devoted to 18th and 19th century folk architecture from Warmia, Mazuria, and surprisingly Lithuania as well. Of particular interest is the group of old windmills, very rare in this region and the inn with a covered walkway. Afternoon continuing to Warsaw. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw at Novotel Centrum Hotel****.
8TH DAY, TUESDAY
WARSAW - USA [B]
Your tour ends this morning after breakfast, as we transfer you to the airport for the flight home.
